62 year-old Peter Frampton, a well-known singer and guitarist who was most famous in the 1970s, was sitting in traffic in Southern California when he became the victim of a “texting while driving” car accident.
A woman was texting on her cell phone and not paying attention. She then rear-ended Frampton’s motor vehicle. Frampton suffered neck and back injuries in the auto crash.
California has a law against texting while driving, and the woman may face a fine up to $100, as well as liability in a civil lawsuit.
