Drunk Driver Kills Sister, Friend And A Family Of Four.

Olivia Culbreath was the only survivor in a tragic crash she caused when she got behind the wheel of her red Chevrolet Camaro early Sunday morning. Suspected to have been heavily intoxicated at the time of the crash, Culbreath was driving 100 mph going the wrong way on the California highway.

The 21-year-old drunk driver collided head-on with a Ford Explorer holding a family of four. All four passengers in Explorer died at the scene. Also killed in the crash, were both of Culbreath’s passengers: her 24-year-old sister and a 24-year-old friend. A third vehicle became entangled in the crash, but the driver of that vehicle only experienced minor injuries.

According to witnesses, Culbreath was driving more than 100 miles an hour when the collision occurred. Although her blood alcohol content has not been released to the media, it is pretty clear that alcohol was the primary factor in the devastating crash. Law enforcement at the scene and at the hospital reported Culbreath exhibited clear signs of intoxication.

Culbreath has been charged with six counts of vehicular manslaughter and felony DUI. The new mother to a seven-month-old is being treated at the hospital for a broken femur and ruptured bladder. She remains in police custody at the hospital.

Drunk driving accidents can be some of the most traumatizing car accidents. Anytime a driver is intoxicated or otherwise distracted from the road, it can lead to devastating results.
