Paul Walker’s daughter has reached an agreement to settle her case with German luxury car maker Porsche. Meadow Walker, 18 years-old, settled the wrongful death suit with Porsche on October 16, 2017. The suit was settled privately, and both parties asked the case to be dismissed. The “Fast and Furious” actor died at the age of 40 in November of 2013 in a car crash. His friend, Roger Rodas, 38 years-old, was driving Porsche Carrera GT in Santa Clarita, California when the car crashed into a lamp post, catching fire and causing the two men to be killed.

The lawsuit, which was filed against the carmaker in 2015, claimed the vehicle did not have the proper safety features installed correctly in the car. The lawsuit also alleged the actor was alive after the crash but could not get out of the car due to his seatbelt, court documents stated. Ms. Walker’s lawyers said the car had a history of “instability and control issues” and that the car manufacturer “failed to install its electronic stability control system.” The details of the settlement were not released by the parties.

Former Finance Startup Employee Alleges Being Fired For Reporting Sexual Harassment.

The office or workplace is supposed to be a safe environment where employees can go and not have to worry about harassment of any type. A former employee of the lending startup, Social Finance, has filed a California lawsuit alleging that he was fired for reporting sexual harassment of female coworkers. The lawsuit was filed by Brandon Charles, who only worked at Social Finance as a loan processing officer for a few months. But during that time, the lawsuit claims his manager used “explicit sexual innuendo” when speaking, and made “lewd, sexualized gestures” when referring to female employees.

Mr. Charles claims he was fired after reporting the allegedly unlawful behavio, and was told that reporting it to his supervisors was outside of his appropriate duties. A spokesman for the company has said that, after an internal investigation was concluded, they found Mr. Charles’ claims to have no merit.
