we have become so attached to our daily lives that we are often anxious to break the cycle.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/obmhzMb0dz4\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"400\" height=\"280\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Regardless of his or her standard of living, every person has one thing in common.\u00a0 Personal injury accidents occur every day in this country.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/gilhoylaw.com\/boston-massachusetts-personal-injury-information-lawyers-attorneys.php\">Life-altering accidents<\/a> can take place anywhere at any time, especially when we least expect them.\u00a0 <strong>Driving to work, backing out of the driveway or going to the grocery store\u2014it doesn\u2019t matter.\u00a0<\/strong> In a split second, a person\u2019s whole life can be turned upside down, or even destroyed.<\/p>\n<p>According to Webster\u2019s Dictionary, an <a href=\"https:\/\/gilhoylaw.com\/boston-massachusetts-personal-injury-types-lawyers-attorneys.php\">accident<\/a> is defined as an unexpected and undesirable event, especially one resulting in damage or harm.\u00a0 Under the law, <a href=\"https:\/\/gilhoylaw.com\">personal injury<\/a> accident victims may be financially compensated by those who are responsible for causing the harm.\u00a0 <strong>Even if a \u201cfreak\u201d accident may appear to be no one\u2019s fault, there is always a possibility that a jury would disagree.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Monday, March 23, 2015, a 32-year-old mother from Martinez, California was killed in a freak accident involving a dump truck.\u00a0 According to NBC Bay Area, Lindsey Combs was in her house at 820 Shell Ave with her husband and 4-year-old daughter that afternoon.\u00a0\u00a0 A worker from JJR Construction, a contractor hired by the city, knocked on the Combs\u2019s door to ask them to move their car.\u00a0 <strong>The company was working on the Shell Avenue Sidewalk Project and needed to put down gravel in front of the Combs\u2019s driveway.\u00a0<\/strong> Lindsey kindly obliged and left the house to move her car.\u00a0 Little did her husband and daughter know that it would be the last time they saw her alive.<\/p>\n<p>Combs began moving her car; the dump truck, driven by Daryl Crockett, began backing up into the driveway.\u00a0 Crockett began dumping the truck\u2019s load onto the ground when he heard screaming.\u00a0 <strong>Combs\u2019s car was beneath the bucket and was being crushed by thousands of pounds of gravel.<\/strong>\u00a0 Crockett immediately tried to halt the flow of gravel, but it was too late.\u00a0 <strong>Combs was already dead.\u00a0<\/strong> Her husband ran out into the driveway to find a massive pile of gravel covering his wife\u2019s car.\u00a0 Her daughter looked on from inside the house.<\/p>\n<p>Crockett later told police that her car moved 10 feet between the time he looked in his mirrors and when he dumped the load.\u00a0 <strong>OSHA officials are currently investigating the <a href=\"https:\/\/gilhoylaw.com\/boston-massachusetts-truck-accident-injury-lawyers-attorneys.php\">fatal truck accident<\/a>, but have yet to cite Crockett or JJR Construction with any violation.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are all creatures of habit.\u00a0 Our day-to-day lives are filled with repetition: wake up, go to work, come home, go to sleep, repeat.\u00a0 Routines and schedules keep us on track, but in truth, we may not even need them.\u00a0 &hellip;
