He also groped and fondled the 50-year-old patient.<\/strong> She immediately reported the nurse\u2019s conduct and he was promptly suspended, and later fired, from his position at the hospital. The 42-year-old nurse pleaded guilty to two counts of cruelty to the infirm and agreed never to return to the nursing profession.<\/p>\n<p>After the assault, Sharon finds herself unable to trust anyone. <strong>She filed suit against Greene and the hospital, arguing the hospital failed to properly supervise Greene and was negligent in hiring him in the first place.<\/strong> It was uncovered that Greene had failed to report on his application that he had been fired from a previous hospital for inappropriate contact with a patient. <strong>Sharon has been awarded $255,000 in damages.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We trust medical personnel to provide the utmost care and respect to patients under their watch.
