Keegan was a journalist and playwright at Yale University.<\/strong> She received national attention for writing a column in the Yale student newspaper in which she wrote \u201cthe best years of our lives are not behind us,\u201d just days before she was tragically killed in a car accident.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/V3-5xNnqbaI\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"400\" height=\"280\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Keegan was a passenger in a car being driven by her boyfriend, Michael Gocksch, a fellow Yale graduate, when the car rolled over. <\/strong>Keegan was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Police have since charged Gocksch with several charges, including motor vehicle homicide by reckless operation.<\/strong> A hearing has been set for July 5, 2012.\u00a0 If probable cause is found, a criminal complaint would be issued. The investigation is ongoing.
