Woman Rescued from House Fire by Cable Worker.

A Boston, MA cable worker rescued a woman from her burning home last Thursday. Dawn Dingee, of 195 Norfolk Street in Boston, was in her bedroom on the second floor when the cable worker kicked her door and started yelling “fire!”

The unidentified cable employee was on a service call and happened to go outside when he saw the blaze in the home next door. Dingee said that if it wasn’t for the cable worker, she never would have made it out alive.

The worker insists that he is not a hero, and that anyone in the neighborhood would have done the same thing. A spokesperson for the Boston Fire Department said that the fire is currently under investigation, but that the rumors that someone started the fire by throwing something through the first floor window are unfounded.
